Hi all,I installed a Seequence Suite Dongle on imageSERVER A1100, but I need to install it on 5 workstations running Mac 10.6 as well. I know it works as a demo, because dongle is missing, but I have two questions:1 - I know that it's possible to do it with Impose 2.7 (acrobat 8.1) but I'm not sure about Seequence Suite (acrobat 9.1)2 - If I'm able to install it in more than once, Fiery and/or workstation, is it possible to register same acrobat standard/distiller 5 or 6 times?Thanks in advance,MC.LourencoLast edited by eltren2003; at 12:53 PM. Hi,The copy of Acrobat that comes with SeeQuence is only licensed to be run on the same (single) client that has the SeeQuence Suite dongle.If all your files are already in PDF format, though, then you can run SeeQuence in Demo mode from CWS5 even without Acrobat running on your local client. In SeeQuence (as opposed to Compose and Impose in CWS4), you only need Acrobat to distill PS files to PDF to display them in SeeQuence or to access the Edit Page command from within SeeQuence.But ultimately if you need to run SeeQuence on multiple clients, then each client needs to have its own license.Hope that helps; let us know if this didn't answer your question.-Mike.

The Graphic Arts Package Premium Edition (GAPPE) and Impose are two entirely different things, and are unrelated at any level.GAPPE is a license that unlocks advanced capabilities at the RIP level, capabilities that any and every user can tap into-whether printing from a print driver, or managing jobs via Command Workstation. GAPPE is licensed on your physical Fiery itself, one time, usually by an installing service technician.

From that point on any user can access its features.Impose, though, is a individually licensed feature-that is, each license you own is good for one session of one installation of Command Workstation providing the Impose feature set. Others may connect to the Fiery via their own Command Workstation installation, but unlike GAPPE they have no access to the Impose features that your workstation with the Impose license has. What the Impose license does is enable features in a single installed copy of Command Workstation, but no others.

That copy of Command Workstation can be installed on an external Fiery itself, or it can be installed and running on any client computer-Mac or Windows-in your shop.You indicate that you have a dongle, or a small USB-connected piece, that enables the Impose features for you. That dongle IS your license. It represents physical ownership of the Impose feature. Without that dongle, you don't have the Impose feature.So in that way it's like a computer or a press in your shop. So ask yourself: what would you do if you came in and found one of your shop computers or presses damaged or missing? You would have to have a business plan for that. Hi Adam,Thanks for responding.You may be right about the GAPPE and impose/compose feature and dongle being two different things;but what i am sure is that i can use the impose feature even without the dongle;the only drawback is that on all the prints there will appear the 'SAMPLE' watermarks;so,the use of the dongle is therefore needed to clear thes watermarks.I, also, can connect the dongle to any other computer 'without installing any licence,and use the impose feature without the watermarks.In fact, i have never installed any licence concerning the impose feature.
