I am using firefox portable 16.0.2 as i am at work and do not have admin privileges. When i open You tube, firefox asks me to update adobe flash player.
Flash player is installed and i can see videos using Chrome and IE.It was working fine a few days ago. I am guessing that adobe came up with some newer version and firefox wants me to update.I understand they do this cos they think the older version may have security risks etc.But i cannot update it (cannot ask the admin, they never agree). Is there a solution to this.thanks.

Hi jscher2000,Thank you for replying to my post.
I visited the page you have linked and although it did not help me directly (as the stand alone installer mentioned here was made in 2008), i ended up reading the whole discussion. I solved my problem like this:. # 1. Went to my home computer where i have admin rights and unpacked the 'Portable Firefox Package' there. # 2. Updated everything.
# 3. Copied the entire folder on a USB drive. # 4. At work, deleted the portable firefox already there and copy pasted from the USB the firefox folder from my home computer!!. # 5. And, since everything is updated there, it is working fine now. # 6.
In future now, all i have to do is update the things at home and copy paste either the entire thing or just one or more files. Thanks Again.Crohbys5. Hi jscher2000,Thank you for replying to my post.

I cannot figure out how to post to get answers so I will just reply here in hopes that someone can help. I am getting an error message telling me that I am not the admin and cannot run updates. I 'AM' the admin, this is my MAC computer and I have 'never' used parental controls or anything else. How do I get past this and please do not tell me to reinstall because I then have to go in and figure out how to uninstall the old version and I really do not have time for that and have no desire to have all of those things downloaded into my wonderful MAC. These kind of books, by just virtue of their existence, are harming the CS education in our world. In the case that you are just picking up this book to learn C and not for an exam, avoid this book like the plague.Although I would say that not every page of this book is incomprehensible, I still wouldn't recommend it. Don't settle for this low-life, poorly written, dull and terribly boring book. Sumita arora pdf download. There are actual high quality books and tutorials out there.

I've got 2 system running Windows 7, one running Pro and the other Home. On both I have the only account and thus an admin level account.Up until today and this latest update for the player update to 10.3.183.10 the update installer always worked fine.Today when I restarted my Win7Pro system it says 'You must have administrative privileges to install Adobe Flash Player. Please log on with administrative privileges and try again.' The only way I could make it work was to create a short cut on the desktop and add the '-update plugin' to the end of the Target line, then right-click it and select 'run as admin'I restarted my Win7Home system and it installed and updated just fine.Ideas anyone?
